Step 3, Go to an art exhibit, a fancy cafe or a public place
Step 4, Stealthily place the message in a noticeable spot without anyone seeing you
Step 5, Leave without anyone knowing you left something behind
Step 6, Watch from a distance until someone finds it
Step 7, Enjoy their reaction

ReplyDeleteThis is the sort of thing that I have always almost thought of doing, but not so straightforwardly, I guess. You should read Hakim Bey's work about temporary autonomous zones and poetic terrorism.
I've always meant to stick post-its around campus and put messages in bottles and leave them in puddles.
David Horvitz has interesting ideas, too.
I like to drop pennies for people to find. Once I actually saw a child discover one that I'd dropped (usually I try to be sneakier than that, but I was waiting on a bench anyways). It's a little bit magical, isn't it?
